The Benefits We Enjoy as Christians Because of our Union with Christ
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!
For who has known the mind of the Lord,
or who became His counselor?
Or who has first given to Him that it might be paid back to him again?
For from Him and through Himand to Him are all things.
To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
Romans 11:33-36

Romans
Romans 3:21 But
now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,
those who believe; for there is no distinction; :23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, :24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus
Eph 1:7 In Him we have
redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace
Eph 1:13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, :14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Peace
Ro 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, :2
through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.
Phi 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Grace
Ro 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, :2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.
2Ti 2:1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
Saved from wrath
Ro 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through
Him.
Reconciliation
Ro 5:11 And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have
now received the reconciliation.
Ro 5:18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the
ministry of reconciliation, :19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. :20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. :16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities all things have been created through Him and for Him. :17 He is before all things, and in Him
all things hold together. :18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. :19 For it was the Father s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, :20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
Eternal life
Ro 5:20 The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, :21 so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Ro 6:8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, :9 knowing that
Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him.
Ro 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
1Th 5:9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, :10 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.
2Ti 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, according to the promise of life in Christ Jesus
Union with Christ
Romans 6:3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? :4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
Resurrection
Ro 6:5 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, :6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that
our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; :7 for he who has died is freed from sin.
2Co 4:13 But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, I believed, therefore I spoke, we also believe, therefore we also speak, :14 knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you.
1Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have
fallen asleep in Jesus.
Col 2:9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, :10 and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; :11 and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; :12 having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.
Alive to God
Ro 6:11 Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
No condemnation
Ro 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. :2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
Suffering and glory
Ro 8:16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, :17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with
Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
All things
Ro 8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him
freely give us all things?
Victory
Ro 8:37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
The love of God
Ro 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, :39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us
from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Union and unity
Ro 12:4 For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, :5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Boasting
Ro 15:17 Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found reason for boasting in things pertaining to God.
1 Co 1:30 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, :31 so that, just as it is written, Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.
1Co 15:31 I affirm, brethren, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
2Co 10:17 But he who boasts is to boast in the Lord.
1 Corinthians
Sanctification
1Co 1:2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling
It is a work of God
1Co 1:30 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and
sanctification, and redemption
Boasting
1Co 1:31 – See Ro 15:17
Existence
1Co 8:5 For even if there are so-called gods whether in heaven or on earth, as indeed there are many gods and many lords, :6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one
Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.
Discipline
1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with the world.
Eternal life
1Co 15:22 – See Ro 5:20

2Co 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ
2 Corinthians
Promises kept
2Co 1:19 For the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by us by me and Silvanus and Timothy was not yes and no, but is yes in Him. :20 For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.

Establishment
2Co 2:21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God

Regeneration, the spectacles
of faith
2Co 3:14 But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ.
Resurrection
2Co 4:13-14 – See Ro 6:5
Eternal home
2Co 5:6 Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord :7 for we walk by faith, not by sight :8 we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent
from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
Renewal
2Co 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
Righteousness
2Co 5:21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God
in Him.
Phi 1:9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, :10 so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of
Christ; :11 having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
Boasting
2Co 10:17 – See Ro 15:17
Galatians
Liberty
Gal 2:4 But it was because of the false brethren secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus
Justification
Gal 2:15 We are Jews by nature and not sinners from among the Gentiles; :16 nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law
The blessing of Abraham –
the Spirit of God
Gal 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree :14 in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Unity
Gal 3:28 – See Ro 12:4
Faith working through love
Gal 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working
through love.
2Ti 1:13 Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in
Christ Jesus.
Ephesians
Every spiritual blessing
Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ
Election
Eph 1:4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world that we would be holy and blameless
before Him.
Adoption
Eph 1:5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, :6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
Redemption
Eph 1:7 – See Ro 3:24
Revelation
Eph 1:9 He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him
:10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in
Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth.
Inheritance
Eph 1:11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who
works all things after the counsel of His will
To the praise of His glory
Eph 1:12 to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory.
Sealing
Eph 1:13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation having
also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise
Redemption
Eph 1:14 – See Ro 3:24
Hope, glory, power
Eph 1:18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, :19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might :20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places
Regeneration, Resurrection, Enthronement,
and Grace in kindness
Eph 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, :5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), :6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, :7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
God’s workmanship
Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Reconciliation
Eph 2:13 – See Ro 5:11
Access to the Father
Eph 2:17 And He came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; :18 for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.
A new, spiritual Temple
Eph 2:19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God s household, :20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself
being the corner stone, :21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, :22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
Partakers of the promise
Ephesians 3:4 By referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, :5 which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit; :6 to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel, :7 of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God s grace which was given to me according to the working of His power.
Boldness and confident
access
Eph 3:11 This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, :12 in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.
Growth
Eph 4:14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; :15 but speaking the truth in love,
we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, :16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
Col 2:18 Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind, :19 and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God.
Recompense
Eph 6:7 With good will render service, as to the Lord, and not to men, :8 knowing that whatever good thing each one does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether slave or free.

cross.

Salvation
2Ti 2:10 For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory.
Living & Reigning
2Ti 2:11 It is a trustworthy statement: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him; 12 If we endure,
we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us; 13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful,
for He cannot deny Himself.
Titus
The Holy Spirit
Titus 3:5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, :6 whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, :7 so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope
of eternal life.
